@JamieWall2 Nor two yellows for Canterbury, one for the most deliberate knock-on and ruck infringement on the try line. Good though not to see the vile cards for a change.
@KeithQuinn88 Half of those penalties came out of the margins in the rulebook, as in unnecessary. James Doleman, our best, would have blown with more restraint both ways.
@paulcullystuff Yes, except it was Pickerill stroppily getting it wrong and O’Keefe and his onfield lieutenants knew it was to the shoulder and should have defied him.
@mikechron@DrivingMaul@skysportnz Surely Ardie was binned because he sacked the maul which is verboten. The sooner mauls are sacked from the game the better.
@pineyzb A dreadful pedantic display by Pickerill, a penalty issued in almost every phase of play. That crazy reversal gifted the Highlanders’ try. Soccer officiating.
@KeithQuinn88 Yes Keith the game lacked selection credibility, most penalty shots were passed up and was essentially a 73-point festival match. We used to have them pre-season in olden times. Sky’s after-match was puerile.
Precisely. This is commonplace for no good reason. The Canes were in Wehrmacht grey when their yellow garb would have been the common-sense strip. I switched off and watched a senior 3rds final live stream.
Yessir! Rugby has come a long way. Pic 1) 2007 RWCup Scotland & AllBlacks (a big game)with 2 teams wearing nearly the same colours. Pic 2) Last weekend 2020 Highlander & Hurricanes (big game) with 2 teams also wearing nearly the same colours! Whaaat!?
The All Blacks are home from the RWCup. Some are offering their views on who might be the next AB coach. One is BeaudenBarrett. A friend (named "Dr Harrumph") says; "Players should'nt try to influence that appointment. Barrett ought to worry more about his own place in the team."
