Thanks to Silje for the beautiful cover, to @whitlynnrioross, @pauljpastor, @malcolmguite@gwpm and Landon loftin for endorsing the book.
Delighted to have my poem 'Index' published by @InkSweatTears (a dream come true)
My son's little scar on his index finger from a suction he gave himself by sucking his own finger in the womb is what inspired the poem. I hope you enjoy it.

..."And you still have the scar on your finger
from the suction blister
you gave yourself in the womb —
it has grown with your digits, that pushed through
mittens..."

Exploring the #ManyWorlds of #Families are the poets Cheryl Snell, Alice Gregorio & @PeterLillyPoems. The poems express vastly different perspectives and experiences yet also speak to each other when read in sequence.

Thrilled to share that a poem of mine was accepted by @WindhoverMag—a magazine I love, which has published writers I deeply admire. After 25+ rejections, it finally found its home. Out FEB next year!
@Jessicawhippl17 Thanks, it's really encouraging that you noticed my absence! 🥲 Becoming freelance has been rather taxing on my time! But I'm staggering towards more balance 😂😂
In March, I was delighted to have 3 poems in The Candyman's Trumpet, family edition, alongside so many wonderful poets. This parenting poem pushes back against making your children grow up.
Catching up on the @NewYorker poetry podcast, and the recent episode with @MayaCPopa is fantastic. A wonderful exploration of 2 generous poems: her “The World Was All Before Them” and Brenda Shaughnessy’s “Artless”.
Delighted to have 3 poems in The Candyman's Trumpet issue 9... A beautiful issue on the theme of family. Thanks to Jack Caradoc!
This is the first of the three:
Rhyming
my son is rhyming in a language I cannot speak
and I, lost to the rhymes, am found
in his glittering eyes.
The Candyman's Trumpet has just dropped issue 9. It is a Family Special. It carries four poems by me. I am posting one of them—my thanks to Jack Caradoc.
I'll have some family themed poems out later today... So I'm revisiting "TO MY SON AT THREE DAYS", originally published by @a_journal
"...You are enormous.
An entire universe
laying between my chin
and my navel."

@pauljpastor I love a lot about mediterranean France where I now live. But one of the things I miss the most about where I grew up in the UK, is the daffodils heralding spring's arrival.
This is one of the reasons why I used specifically the sonnet for my 2nd collection “A Handful of Prayers: Poems and Sonnets for the End of Modernity”
