@Bease11 I am not here to pick sides. I would simply like to suggest the statistical intuition here is more than a bit off the mark. For additional insights on bias in decision making, see Kahneman, D. (2011). Thinking, fast and slow. Macmillan. A great and accessible read for anyone.
