@nicrypto Agentic AI running in the background without oversight is the actual problem. Tool needs commanding, blanket deployment is how you blow the budget
@PeterDiamandis Never been an easier time to start. We will see many more startups in general in the next decade. Some good some bad, but prob a net benefit for consumers
Founder-business fit is one of the most important things that many ignore
You can pick a great market, hire great people, build a real product, and still lose if it doesnt match who you actually are and what you actually care about
For example: I considered being a pastor, a missionary, a teacher. Wasnt what I was meant to be tho.
Same thing inside companies. Pick the model that fits how you actually run, and its gotta be something you actually have enough experience in to really care about. Not just what someone else says you should do
If the way your company is built to grow doesn’t match the way you’re built to operate, you’re going to spend every day fighting yourself.
And you’ll lose.
@DaveShapi Not sure I agree with 1, I think there is a bubble. Tech can be real and bubbly at the same time.
I do however agree on #3. AI is a tool to be commanded and not the other way around 💯
@sweatystartup Most definitely. Can be transformative tech and a bubble at the same time. Look at dot com bubble. And fwiw I think its going to continue to get crazier before the pop
@jasonlewris Multi-year decline still working through. More markets fall in line each month. Sellers cutting alone doesnt fix it, buyers wait til theyre ready
Where are we in the AI Boom?
AI is formidable, persistent, and growing in value. I analogize where we are with AI today to where the internet was in the '90s.
The real question is: where exactly are we on that timeline? Are we at '99? I don't think so. I think we're more like maybe 1995. There is still a long way to go.
Because of that, I don't think this is about to blow up anytime soon. I think it’s actually going to get way more crazy before it finally corrects. You might see some small corrections here and there, but the momentum is going to keep going.
When it eventually does blow up, it’s hard to say exactly where or how. You can never underestimate the irrationality of humans when a bubble starts to form.
Thoughts?
