@LtlNgn Well, the MSR loading gauge has to at least take a Baldwin, so in reality it probably wouldn't be as restrictive as the FR. The notion to stay small is personal preference

@LtlNgn I make it easy on myself with my MSR modelling by sticking to the very bitter end of the lines life, and just model what we already know to exist.

That said, the list for additions wouldn't be long because they'd need to not only be small, but around CR/FR loading gauge

@ConductorKelly The magre local traffic (not just goods, there's next to no local passengers) are pretty reminiscent of the Vale of Rheidol or the Welsh highland, both lines that relied on tourism as the MSR did

@LtlNgn Possible but not necessarily- remember Arlesburgh is a river port- if the dock for the ferries is on the south bank of the river per the map, it'd be oriented like Campbelltown

@LtlNgn I have such love for Atlantic & Argyll (and Chevalier) but yeah they'd be far too large to justify

@LtlNgn The more I've thought about it, I feel that Campbelltown would be a good match for the passenger facilities at Arlesburgh. A simple loop for the trains to stand, with adjacent hotel and offices for passengers from the IoM steam packet

@plant_plays Exactly. Lead ingots, and if a customer wanted it, the raw Galena, plus whatever else they pull out of the hill they can sell like zinc or copper
