Not only is @Spotify increasing their prices, but they're also inserting more ads into Premium. It makes you wonder what we're paying for, because it's not like artists are getting fairly compensated. Sooner or later the whole system is bound to fall apart.

@TheOtaking Tomino's works, from what I've seen, can be entertaining and have plenty of merits, but I don't see the same level of emotional truth in them.

@TheOtaking To be fair, the ending of the TV series does end on a positive note. I don't think of Eva as a whole being 100% cynical, but it does show a side of depression that has a real sense of truth behind it that some people may struggle to relate to.

@KennyLauderdal3 I'm not a fan of the color palettes often used in early digipaint shows, but I'll have to admit there was still plenty of good stuff coming out around then. Not to mention exploration of more complex themes in some anime that we hadn't really seen before.

@consumertc They would make a killing using the cup/fry design as a retro/throwback tshirt today. It exists in exactly the same place as that solo cup design, and somehow works surprisingly well as a shirt.

@bunnycartoon There are plenty of good reasons why the movie is "bad" but I can't help but feel the same way. The way Rintaro conveys atmosphere is about the best you'll ever find in anime, IMO.

@Ultrabrie @acenter102 I'd say the TV series is worth a watch. Just keep in mind it's early digipaint so it's not the prettiest thing out there. Manga is good but without an ending it's hard to recommend
