One of the areas we aggressively policed @FTC was Made in USA fraud. Labeling goods "Made in America" if they're actually imported is illegal.

Four months ago, President Trump also directed his FTC to police Made in USA fraud. But his enforcers are asleep at the wheel.

Our team just uncovered that Amazon and Walmart are intentionally ignoring Made in USA fraud on their platforms and are even systematically using their AI chatbots to steer shoppers away from Made in America goods.

My colleagues @CntrLawEconomy tested their AI shopping assistants and found:
- they suppress results for "Made in USA" prompts while showing results for "Made in China" prompts
- they directly add "Made in USA" labels even to goods that are clearly imported
- the AI agents admit that they have the capacity to flag fraudulently listed products but choose not to so they can protect foreign suppliers that make up a big chunk of revenue

Honest American businesses are paying the price.
