@MeerMaurits You know, I succumbed to despair because I didn't spot the knight fork and I think I suspended analysis. Clearly there is more left but I lost heart.
Tonight at my local Chess club tournament I resigned a game because I missed a tactical shot my opponent found but the game was far from over. I came home and found the win immediately. #NeverGiveUp#chesspunks
@NealBruceBC A big one for me (and for a lot of people I expect) is the belief that knowing more about an opening will lead to more victories -- aside from catching someone with gambit tricks, opening prep mostly just helps launch you into a middlegame with (hopefully) an advantage.
