Agents with the U.S. Secret Service, guns drawn, tell reporters and other bystanders to get back, following reports of shots fired inside the hotel where the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was taking place in Washington, attended by President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
@hannahhill_sc This is unfortunate, and I’m not sure what Piro was thinking… However, we should be realistic that en banc would have been granted regardless. They could care less what Piro thinks about all gun cases.
@maxasteele@MorosKostas If biases are promulgated long enough, yes, everyone is desensitized to some it--including non left leaning jurists. To say nothing of the self censorship some may engage b/c of leftist dogma parading itself as "common sense." Happy to see you're at least admitting to the bias.
@megynkelly@afneil All of you have lost it… Move on, stop attacking each other or do so behind closed doors. It’s amazing that none of you see how damaging and stupid this is.
@stephenasmith A grand jury beleives there was probable cause that he commited a crime. Thats the process. Someone once said u must “respect the process” when a GJ determines the same with a host of journalists and political figures with conservative leanings. So, lets respect the system.
@jaketapper You are spreading misinformation or don’t understand the legal system. The judges said that the DOJ can seek an indictment, which they did and a grand jury established probable cause, thus the arrest. If you’re gonna present as “journalists”, at least pretend being unbiased.
@kellyannwashbu1@megynkelly Its completely irrelevant whether he was carrying his permit or not. The altercation had nothing to do with him having ID or not. No one asked, nor could they, nor did they know he was carrying to begin with...Identification here is wholly irrelevant to what happened.
@dcopechatter A 2A absolutist believes you don't need a permit to carry. Even if he carried without a license or permit in MN, that does not negate the validity of his license nor its legitimacy. Its a technical violation, akin to forgetting your insurance or registration in vehicle.
@MrShermichael@MorosKostas Seems to be a plethora of dumb & hypocritical comments on both sides. Progressives now laughably embracing the second amendment, while conservatives all of a sudden care how much the gun cost & that he had a spare magazine, which is not only customary & normal, but irrelevant.
@chucktodd No need to wait for an investigation, Chuck, just mouth off with your own conclusions. I also seem to recall your numerous statements of “innocent until proven guilty” over the years. All that was apparent nonsense, of course, when a political issue of yours is involved.
@rgoodlaw You're incorrect. This is a split second 2-3 shot scenario were one cannot physically stop between shots and ponder. To make it into a situation where as if one shoots, reevaluates and then improperly shoots again is disingenuous and doesn't comport with the facts.
@MarshaBlackburn Ur retroactive proposal going back 2 1996 convictions is atrocious legally & politically. U haven’t thought it through. Ppl entered into plea deals being told there are no immigration consequences, only to see this decades later. U will lose the conservative legal immigrant vote.
@MorosKostas Having been last year, it is truly huge...so many rooms and floors to explore, its hard to focus and determine where to start first. Enjoy.
