Indonesia could be on track to the the fourth largest economy in the world (ahead of the UK, Japan and even Germany) by 2050. Iโm less convinced by the predictions for Nigeria in 2070 - although 1:10 children born in the world will be born in Nigeria within 25 yearsโฆ(thanks to @ianbremmer for graph)
Bit rich of The Newsagents to be highlighting the juxtaposition of media reports about fires in Greece and the climate on a podcast *which is sponsored by one of the biggest investors in oil and gas worldwide* (HSBC)

@RestIsPolitics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret A major constraint for first time buyers is the inability to produce a credit rating, despite paying rent, often for years (which is a higher monthly cost than a mortgage).
What is stopping the Govt from including rent to credit scores, and why haven't Labour been chasing this?

Some nominative determinism strong enough for the @nosuchthing team I'd say.
Hedi Slimane, who helped kick off the trend for skin tight suits in the late 1990s/ early 2000s, was once the Creative Director of Saint Laurent Paris. And Yves Saint Laurent himself wore very slim suits on occasion. His body was built for it.

Really interesting, but problematic. They've made huge progress hutbat what cost. Is it worth sacrificing democracy for climate progress?
Would love to hear thoughts from China experts (@AbbeyHeffer?)
The progress China has made in renewable energy just THIS YEAR makes the entire rest of the world look like it's standing still.
I wrote in December that to call China the "world leader in renewable energy" was a colossal understatement.
Thatโs even more true today.
