@KHoulgate @emergprehosp I feel 111 isn't advertised as an out of hours service which is part of the problem. So in hours patients call 111 as an alternative to their GP despite the fact that all they're equipped to do is triage at the time

@Chris_Riggers @ThomasJPaddock @KHoulgate As much as that's the least bad option for the patient. What is the ruling behind being fit to drive? GPs are involved in deeming someone medically fit to drive. What if they arrest at the wheel?

@ParamedicTutor @WelshParaMedic Nothing specific, I think AHP's should start on the same banding but further responsibilities would then have a banding increase you'd just need to invent another job title for a band 7 Paramedic which isn't already in use

@Ben_Roberts24 How about taking pts ketones while taking their blood sugars? It's just swapping out one test strip for another and is often something I've wanted to do more times than any critical care ish skill.

@para_stu I'm fairly sure I did most of that training while queuing outside of A&E on a laptop from the 90's at 3am, worrying that even that was quicker than some! I would agree that most of that training is fairly integral especially when making every contact count with EVERYONE in the UK

@Rhiaxxe @ColmDonoghue @catherine_966 @James_MacX Most night shift workers ability to function declines as the night shift goes on, repetitive tasks don't help this. So you'd have a v. tired and slow health care professional. Doing the same number of hours all in the day would get more people vaccinated and better for staff
