While Burnham tells the British public to expect “challenging” weeks ahead, Labour has just backed giving £655 million for infrastructure projects in Angola.

While many British families struggle to put food on their tables Labour can find
hundreds of millions to give foreign dictators and authoritarian regimes.

Tory-led Wandsworth Council has announced a staggering 94% council tax hike, the biggest council tax rise in history.

Already struggling households will be forced to find almost £1,000 extra a year.

But take a look at the eye-watering sums paid to senior council officers last year.

Wandsworth Council paid its then Deputy Chief Executive Ana Popovici £278,643 in total remuneration in 2025/26. That’s more than seven times the UK’s average full-time salary and over £100,000 more than the Prime Minister.

The Tories simply cannot be trusted with taxpayers’ money.

So, let’s look at what has happened in the past. Research using Electoral Commission data shows:

LABOUR

Took £4 MILLION from Quadrature Capital, an investment firm.

Millions from businessman Gary Lubner.

Millions from Lord Sainsbury.

Millions from Dale Vince and Ecotricity.

Millions from trade unions.

THE CONSERVATIVES

Took £15 MILLION from Frank Hester and his company The Phoenix Partnership.

£5 MILLION from billionaire businessman Mohamed Mansour.

£1 MILLION from hedge fund founder Alan Howard.

Millions from hedge fund figures JCB interests and some of the wealthiest people in Britain.

THE HYPOCRISY DEEPENS:

Christopher Harborne whose ‘donation’ is suddenly causing all this concern about democracy, previously gave the CONSERVATIVE PARTY around £1.5 MILLION in 2022.He then gave another £1 MILLION to Boris Johnson’s private office.

So, even money from the SAME crypto billionaire was apparently acceptable when the Conservatives were receiving it.

Hypocritical Labour and Tories cannot credibly spend decades accepting enormous ‘legal’ donations, then suddenly decide those rules are a threat to democracy when somebody else gets more.

As always Labour have tried to mislead the public.

Their 2024 general election manifesto promised: “Labour will recruit an additional 6,500 new expert teachers”.

But latest official figures show there are 466,372 full time teachers in England, down from 468,694 in 2024, a fall of 2,322.

Don’t complain about all the new houses being built locally if you voted Lib Dem’s. If you voted for the Greens, Independents or Lib Dem’s, it’s your fault!

72 MILLION TO REFORM = “CORRUPTION!”

£184.6 MILLION TO LABOUR = “DEMOCRACY!”

Labour took £53.2m in donations in 2024 alone — and around £184.6m since 2019.

The Lib Dems have received round £73.2m since 2019, including an £8m donation from Lord Sainsbury.

And … companies that donated more than £580,000 to Labour subsequently received £137.9 MILLION in government contracts during Labour's first year in government.

One rule for them. Another for everyone else.
