Back in India for Germany's international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW). Many tweets on Afghanistan, but interested in lots of things. Story tips welcome.

A lot of people have asked me why I started IGR.
Short answer: because, why not? Long answer: at 12 PM today.
Join me live as we talk about IGR, journalism, India’s voice in the world, and what possesses someone to start a media company in 2026.
(Also, I’ve done approximately one YouTube Live in my life. So this could be mildly chaotic.)

It was an absolute honor to host my friend @SecRubio in India for the past four days! We held productive meetings with Prime Minister Modi, External Affairs Minister Dr. Jaishankar, and NSA Doval. We traveled through Kolkata, New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, celebrated America’s 250th birthday, and capped the visit with a highly successful Quad meeting. America’s foreign policy is in outstanding hands with Secretary Marco Rubio at the helm!
Wonderful to be back at the iconic Taj Mahal with @SecRubio, @jeanettedr4 and Robert Gabriel. A breathtaking symbol of India’s extraordinary heritage and craftsmanship.
Good discussions with @SecRubio of USA in New Delhi.
Reviewed the entire spectrum of our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, including trade & energy, defence & security, critical minerals & AI, nuclear & people-to-people, counter-terror & counter-narcotics cooperation.
Regional, global and multilateral issues of mutual interest were also discussed. Have a detailed readout at the press conference thereafter.
Look forward to joining Secretary Rubio and our colleagues from Australia and Japan for the QUAD Foreign Ministers’ meeting on Tuesday.

I had a very good call with @POTUS.
We discussed the situation in the Middle East and our close coordination with regional partners.
We are united that Iran must never posses a nuclear weapon. Recent events have clearly shown that the risks to regional stability and global security are too great.
We also discussed the EU–U.S. trade deal. We remain fully committed, on both sides, to its implementation. Good progress is being made towards tariff reduction by early July.
Looking forward to welcoming my good friend Secretary Rubio to India! The United States deeply values our growing partnership with India, and we are excited to build even stronger ties that will benefit both our nations and the world. See you soon, Mr. Secretary!
