8/9 What we did NOT do: inflate a timeout to force a green. That's masking — it hides real regressions.
What we did: run the networked suite with its own CPU (serialized / its own CI step). Code correct, tests green given cores. Honest status, not a fake pass.

Put together: VRF picks a proposer → it broadcasts a signed block → every node re-executes + prevotes → >⅔ prevote → precommit → >⅔ precommit → re-execute + commit.
Timeout? Round advances, new proposer. Live as long as >⅔ stake is honest & online.

Transport is real QUIC gossip. The critical rule: authenticate before you relay.
Every proposal/vote's signer is recovered and checked against the live validator set before it's delivered or forwarded. A non-validator can't inject — or amplify — anything.
