Didn’t think things could get worse than under Lopetegui, then along came Potter and I didn’t think it could get worse than under him… then came Nuno.. this club is going places and it’s straight down
LIES LIES LIES !!
If you’re still undecided on whether to protest then l hope the blatant lies in the latest post to all West Ham fans will help convince you.
I am sure there are many lies in the statement, but the one about £100m net spend per season has made my piss boil as it just bears no reflection to the real numbers shown below.
WEST HAM TRANSFER ACTIVITY - PAST 6 WINDOWS (SUMMER AND WINTER) - PER TRANSFERMRKT
SUMMER 25
Spent £125m
Received £77.8m
Net £47.2m
JAN 25
Spent £0m
Received £0m
Net £0m
SUMMER 24
Spent £125.5m
Received £40.1m
Net £85.4m
JAN 24
Spent £0m
Received £8m
Net -£8m
SUMMER 23
Spent £125.7m
Received £142.3m
Net -16.6m
JAN 23
Spent £10.4m
Received £3.3m
Net £7.1m
--------
TOTAL - 3 SEASONS/3 YEARS
Spent £386.6m
Received £271.5m
Net £115.1m
--------
AVERAGE - 3 SEASONS/3 YEARS
Spent £128.9m
Received £90.5m
Net £38.4m
--------
An average net £38.4m spend is probably comparable with smaller clubs like Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham and Palace. Not a high amount for a club coming off the back of 3 very successful European revenue seasons and 60,000 ticket sales.
So, where did the £100m come from?
The only possible explanation is that they have deliberately included 4 summer windows and still divided it by three. Ie, I think they included Summer 22 in these calculations, when Kretinsky's money enabled us to spend £147m net on players.
From 2022 to 2025 there is technically three years. But, it’s a bit like saying there are two days until tomorrow because you include both today and tomorrow.
To make matters worse, the low net spend for our supposed size has also included mismanagement of the highest degree. The losses on so many players under these owners, due to terrible investments and a lack of any consistent policy, helps to explain why we are now behind the clubs I mention above, and why we never seem to have funds.
Anyway, this is another lie exposed by these owners. If you think it’s worth sharing with others ahead of the protests, then please like and/or retweet to do so.
