Rakell had fewer points than Tippett last year and Rakell had significantly worse defensive stats. Tippett is in his physical prime and still has 5 years left on a team friendly contract.

@TalkeyHockey @oilers_hub Philly is would lose 4 firsts if the offer sheet goes through. The oilers could send them 1 2028 first round pick, 1 second round pick and a mid level oilers prospect. I would be extremely surprised if they didn’t take that trade especially since they would need picks badly.
