@RobTheHockeyGuy I feel like ultimately it might end up being Buium, but no yet. To me he showed the fire and leadership near the end of last season. But I am not sure he is quite ready yet and don't want to force it.

@taj1944 To be fair we don’t know all the details. When Hronek’s agent says he doesn’t want to move it very well may be that they have at least asked and been denied. As much as you say some GM’s can make guys waive there are also players that have not waived. They should ask for sure

@lucckyduck @taj1944 Any GM getting hired is going to be on board with the rebuild so that means nothing. It also would not take long for any new hire to see what we have and what we need. On the AHL title, that is great but didnt even make playoffs this year. Need sustained success.

@taj1944 Gillis was a part of the last respectable era of the Canucks organization. At that time they were very well respected and had success. Aquilini should want to go back to that as it was proven success.

@fentonone @taj1944 Yes, but how many of those GM's who played won a cup as a player. Which according to your having had to have played on a good team scenario with Doan should mean only those who played on a good team could possibly then be good GM's. I found 4 total.
