Atheism Is Not Your Rebellion
It's only Nigerians who can somehow turn atheism into a form of rebellion. 😂
Bro, atheism is not a lifestyle. It is not a fashion statement. It is not an excuse to misbehave. It is not "my parents are too religious, therefore I am now an atheist." And it is certainly not a passport to become everything your conservative upbringing told you not to become.
Atheism, in the simplest sense, is the absence of belief in gods. Finish.
You can be an atheist and still be conservative. You can be an atheist and be disciplined. You can be an atheist and never drink alcohol. You can be an atheist and remain faithful to one partner. You can be an atheist and respect your parents. You can even be boring. There is no Atheist Headquarters issuing igbo, tattoos, and piercings upon deconversion.
But Nigerians have a special talent for turning ideas into something else.
We did something similar with feminism. A serious political and social philosophy about women's equality enters Nigeria, and before long, some people reduce the entire thing to "I don't cook for men." Meanwhile, feminism is considerably bigger than who washed the plates.
Now atheism too has entered Nigerian hands.
Somebody quarrels with his pastor, discovers Christopher Hitchens on YouTube on Tuesday, changes his X bio to "Freethinker" on Wednesday, starts insulting everybody's religion on Thursday, and by Friday he has somehow concluded that atheism requires him to become a public nuisance.
Calm down. 😂
You may simply be irreligious.
You may be agnostic.
You may be questioning your faith.
You may be angry with organized religion.
You may simply hate your church.
You may even just be going through your own personal rebellion.
All these things are legitimate experiences, but please don't package all of them and write ATHEISM on the package.
Because atheism doesn't automatically make anybody intelligent, rational, moral or sophisticated. An atheist can still be stupid. An atheist can still believe nonsense. An atheist can still be tribalistic, corrupt, misogynistic, fraudulent and superstitious.
Removing God from an irrational mind doesn't automatically produce a rational human being.
And this is particularly funny in Nigeria because some of our newly minted atheists haven't even completely evicted Jesus from the building.
Small NEPA transformer explosion:
"JESUS!!!"
Plane enters turbulence:
"Blood of Jesus!"
Danfo nearly hits them:
"Jesu Christi!"
My sis in disbelief, who exactly are you calling? 😂
Of course, these expressions can simply be cultural reflexes. That is precisely the point. Leaving religion intellectually is different from disentangling yourself from a lifetime of religious culture.
So take your time. Read. Think. Question. Learn philosophy. Learn science. Understand skepticism. Understand the difference between atheism, agnosticism, secularism, humanism and simply being pissed off with religion.
And most importantly, develop your own moral compass.
Don't escape one form of dogmatism only to join another.
Your personal crisis does not have to become the public face of atheism.
Some of us are just here quietly not believing.
Leave atheists out of your rebellion. 😂
DEMON: Sir, we’ve got a problem.
DEVIL: What now?
DEMON: The Left versus Right thing isn’t working like it used to. People are starting to realize both sides are being manipulated.
DEVIL: Fine. Did you try Black versus White?
DEMON: Of course. We pushed it hard. But they’re catching on. Some of them are actually talking to each other.
DEVIL: Disgusting.
DEMON: I know, sir. We even tried rich versus poor, rural versus urban, vaccinated versus unvaccinated…
DEVIL: And?
DEMON: They’re exhausted. They’re starting to suspect that maybe constantly hating their neighbors isn’t making their lives better.
DEVIL: Hmm…
DEMON: What do we do?
DEVIL: Bust out the classic.
DEMON: Religion?
DEVIL: Older.
DEMON: Class warfare?
DEVIL: Older.
DEMON: Oh no…
DEVIL: Man versus woman.
DEMON: Sir, we’ve used that one forever.
DEVIL: Exactly. And they fall for it every damn time.
DEMON: What’s the angle?
DEVIL: Easy. Take something complicated, tragic, or emotional, then convince everyone the real issue isn’t right versus wrong.
DEMON: Then what is it?
DEVIL: Tell women, “Men could never understand.”
DEMON: And tell men?
DEVIL: “Women are irrational.”
DEMON: Brilliant. So nobody actually discusses the issue.
DEVIL: Now you’re learning. Never let them debate principles when you can make them resent each other personally.
DEMON: And if they start finding common ground?
DEVIL: Remind them that the other side is the enemy.
DEMON: What if they realize we’re doing it?
DEVIL: Then we’re screwed.
DEMON: Why?
DEVIL: Because the day men and women stop fighting each other long enough to ask who’s benefiting from the fight…
DEMON: Yeah?
DEVIL: …they might finally look in our direction.
If I am talking with someone and I get interrupted, I quietly question that interruption to know if I should change the topic immediately and I do that a lot.
Nigerians are actually not smart.
I see people insulting him in the comments and quotes saying "his party lost".
What this despicable cunt is telling you, is that:
Whether Adeleke won or Ambo won - it is all in line with Tinubu's grand agenda, and he's right.
Disgraceful.
Peter Obi to Nigerians. ---- My car was singled out amongst many cars and was clapped.
48 hours later, Minister of aviation Festus Keyamo @fkeyamo releases CCTV footage to discredit Obi, but got disgraced.
Peter Obi to the world. ---- I am not a thief, i am not corrupt, i have not stolen one naira of government's money, i don't own a property that is linked to government money, i don't collect pension as a former governor, i rejected all the lands allocated to me as a sitting governor. EFCC investigate me, ICPC, investigate me, code of conduct bureau investigate me, police investigate me, DSS investigate me. APC government, if you have any evidence linking me to corruption please put it out and prosecute me.
EFCC since 2022 ----- Errrr, but Errrr
ICPC since 2022 ------ Errrr, but Errrr
CCB since 2022 ------ Errrr, but Errrr
Police since 2022 ----- Errrr, but Errrr
DSS since 2022 ------ Errrr, but Errrr
APC government since 2022 till today on Peter Obi and the word corruption,
Errrr, but Errrr, but Obi Errrrr, but Errrr.
If APC have anything incriminating against Peter Obi, they would have released it since to the public. They will ensure international media outfits publishes and circulates that story globally.
It took Festus Keyamo just 48 hours to release CCTV footage, but since 2022, the entire government agencies saddled with the responsibility of investigating has found nothing against Peter Obi. Since 2022, the entire APC and Tinubu's government can not fault Obi's claim with any corruption linked to him.
Mention one ex governor who can publicly claim that he is not corrupt, that all the security agencies should investigate him and bring him to book.
Mention one APC government official, even in this current government who can publicly claim not to be corrupt. Who can publicly claim not to be a thief.
Who can publicly claim not to have stolen one naira before. Who can publicly claim not to have benefitted from government money. Who can publicly claim not to have received government landed allocations.
It can only be Peter. It's either Peter Obi or no one else.
If E no be Panadol, E no fit be like Pamadol.
For 2027, Peter Obi is the only man we Nigerians can trust with our yam and fish. The rest are rats, cats and goats.
Tinubu must go, is a call to National duty in 2027 for patriotic Nigerians.
Vote Peter Obi, vote OK, vote NDC.
Semi deep take of mine:
If the universe is truly infinite…then the universe has no center … thus every point is its center.
You are the center of the universe.
Every action you take, every moment of your life, everything in your life matters.
You MATTER. Act like it.
You just made your first $1M. Your brain immediately jumps to the bigger house, the nicer car, that business idea you’ve been itching to execute.
Resist all of it, that instinct is exactly why most people who come into money are broke again within a few years.
The move nobody teaches you: do nothing.
Let it sit. Don’t deploy it, don’t try to flip it, don’t show it off. Park it somewhere safe that pays you while you think. Lock it into a 2–3 month yield-bearing instrument e.g T-bills, low-risk positions, safe and battle-tested protocols.
You’re not trying to get rich off it; you’re already there. You’re buying yourself time to think clearly and getting paid to do it.
Run the numbers. $1M at just 5% APR:
→ $50,000 a year → $4,167 a month → $137 a day
Every day you wake up, $137 landed in your account. You didn’t touch your principal. You didn’t lift a finger, and if that 5% compounds daily, you’re closer to $51,200 a year, the money starts making money on the money.
So before you spend a single dollar or naira, ask yourself one question: can this purchase pay for itself from the interest alone? If yes, you’ve earned it. If no, you’re eating your seed.
Anyone can GET money. Keeping it is a different skill entirely and it starts with the discipline to sit still while everyone expects you to splurge.
Sometimes parking it and letting it pay you is the best play ever. This is from experience, don’t joke with your once-in-a-lifetime SEED when it comes your way.
Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths,
After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth.
You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead.
It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire.
In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future.
I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender.
You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership.
If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation.
Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future.
I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country.
My young friends, this is your country. Take it back.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
@Truthonlykid2@lorddrey@Ugama2020 They tried, but Islam was and is still wayyy out of line.
The subservience in Islam is more than any right thinking free individual would tolerate. Besides, Christianity came first, and penetrated subtly and deceitfully.
Islam tried to dominate through sheer force of will.
