Incumbent Rep. Martha Roby (R) won re-election in AL-02 by R+8.3 in 2016, underperforming Trump by ~23.6%. Due to Roby's withdrawal of support for Trump in the wake of the Access Hollywood tape, a write-in campaign was launched and received over 29,000 or 10.7 of the vote.

Alaska Landmine: Mary Peltola used the “n-word” multiple times in 2024, former staffers allege
Two former staffers for former Democratic U.S. Representative Mary Peltola’s office and campaign claim she repeatedly used the “n-word” in 2024, when she was an elected representative.
One instance of Peltola’s use of the “n-word” allegedly followed an October 25, 2024 dinner honoring the nearly 4,000 African American Army soldiers who helped construct the Alaska-Canada Highway during World War II.

@ZakJac_wx I could be wrong about this but I’m going off of recent precedents where Republicans make up ground in October (at least in TX) and if these 5-6% leads by Talarico is sustained to November, there will be a polling miss (by how much idk)
Based on the recent polls I've complied in Texas, Talarico is exceeding the mean Democratic performance amongst Hispanic voters (AVG 2026: Talarico 🔵 +22.5 vs. AVG 2016-2024: Dem 🔵 + 16.0) while averaging around 39% with White Voters (shift of 🔵+5 raw % from Beto in 2018)
