Inflated land prices are the biggest barrier to India's prosperity:
- prevents industrial clustering, drives supply chains farther apart
- salaried class can't afford home without 30 yr loan
- landlord surplus are reinvested in real estate, prices go up even higher
Evil.

🚨 #ExpressInvestigation | Since he took oath as CM of Madhya Pradesh on December 13, 2023, Mohan Yadav’s family and their real estate companies have bought at least 137 plots, adding up to 168 acres, for Rs 45 crore, in zones most benefited by this infrastructure push, an investigation of land records by @mazoomdaar has found.

How brilliant rejuvenation of rivers transforms rural Gujarat 🇮🇳.
Amreli district in Gujarat untill very recently was a desolate place. The rivers were silted and dead. It was very dry. Young people left for Surat and other cities.
Then something incredible happened - the miracle of water. Dholakia Foundation, supported by the government of Gujarat, built 180 dams and lakes. They widened and deepened the riverbeds. Water is back - big time. The monsoon starts this week.
With water farmers who depended on one crop, can have two or three. Fruits like mango grow everywhere. Trees are planted across Amreli. With forests deer and wild pigs return. And with access to prey lions start inhabiting the region, outside the national park. This is the endangered Asian lion, so the increase in lion numbers matters a lot.
Congrats with great work in Amreli. Please connect to Dholakia Foundation for inspiration if you wish to replicate elsewhere.
I say this with great sadness, Pavagadh is full of filth
It is one of the most holy temple in Gujarat and is in bad condition
Piles of trash everywhere, the lake is full of trash
A lot of development work has happened here for road and base expansion but cleanliness is ignored
🧵on Gujarat's Industrial Policy 2026:
The policy is unique and among the first in India as far as I know because the most interesting bit isn't just the incentives. Gujarat govt. will now offer the flexibility for industrial units to be able to pick their own mix of capital, interest and/or power tariff subsidies up to a ceiling, instead of being boxed into one scheme.
Chart explaining the incentive structure -
Today, I’m releasing never before seen intelligence revealing new evidence of past US government funding for more than 120 biolabs in over 30 countries, including Ukraine.
In support of President Trump‘s Executive Order to end federal funding of dangerous gain of function research around the world, and increase transparency and accountability, ODNI will continue working with partners across the Administration to identify where these labs are, what pathogens they contain, and what “research” is being conducted.
