The Neil Gaiman example later in this thread is absolutely evergreen because he's such a perfect case study for "terrible people can make very good and very progressive, empathetic pieces of art". The sooner we stop conflating someone's morality with their work the better.
I’m trying to come up with an american equivalent to the Goianistão and I’m realizing that I can’t. Imagine a place with a concentration of wealth, power and misanthropy of the Bay Area; now imagine it had the literacy rates of West Virginia and the racial politics of Mississippi. And now imagine its newfound wealth results in a massive influx of a music genre I can only describe as “Taylor Swift for men”.
The most disastrous consequence of American globalism was Europeans saying “y’all” and “ain’t”. Its like seeing a dog hold a spoon. Very unusual and very scary.
@BigVhagarFan@Emiliezcs@BluebriarArts Hold on, though, what about sola fide and sola gratia? I was very much under the impression that faith in Christ was the only requisite for salvation at least in Protestantism. Could you elaborate?
