Day 3 of #WAAW2022 today we’re focussing on optimising diagnoses. Meaning we ensure patients are being treated for the right thing. It’s important to take samples and look for infection markers to make sure patients get the right antibiotics and STOP if no evidence of infection.

A key message for #WAAW2022 to #KeepAntibioticsWorking is to make the switch from IV to oral asap. This facilitates an earlier discharge, reduces adverse effects due to IV access and reduces staff pressure and costs.
