@brethordark@tj_hedges@StirlingRoberta@JustinTrudeau Christians reflect all lmao. Also Catholicism is hardly all of Christianity. What about us Copts who were targeted by a recent church fire in Vancouver despite not having anything to do with Residential schools and being one of the most persecuted groups in the world lol.
@brethordark@tj_hedges@StirlingRoberta@JustinTrudeau That goes not only for any religion but people without religion lol.Mao wasn’t exactlyReligous when he killed 90+ million Chinese and neither was Stalin during his atrocities.Should this reflect all Athiests because it was done in there name?Nope, neither should the acts of a few
@cryssi3000 @StirlingRoberta @MenningOwen @JustinTrudeau The church is a building. The people in the building certainly didn’t anything wrong either. Do you believe the people who lost there community center and place of worship deserve it for possibly sharing a religion with someone who did a crime before they were born?
@cryssi3000 @StirlingRoberta @MenningOwen @JustinTrudeau Copts being persecuted almost continuously for 2000+ years: oh yeah privilege, totally have that.Arson is never the answer, but when it gets to the point that you attack minorities escaping their countries persecution (Egypt) the justification doesn’t even make sense anymore.
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica We have no idea of Huni’s parentage or origin. While he did have a palace in Elphantine -most pharaohs had multiple such estates across the nation. We DO believe he founded the city of Ehnas (modern Heracleopolis Magna) in middleEgypt and that he was possibly buried in Letopolis
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica the ability to travel upwardly. Quite likely they didn’t even consider themselves Nubian anymore and had mixed with locals for at least a few generations. As for Huni - he is not from Elphantine- Elphantine is merely the location of one of the two remaining stellas regarding him.
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica Our skin color in many places in the South is darker today than it was in ancient Egypt. But guess what? Our identity is tied to Egypt our home and not to our skin color. Our DNA is enough evidence of our ancestry.
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica Nor does it even really exist in modern Egypt as well. As you already saw “modern Egyptian” covers people as dark as Aswan (very dark) and people as light as in the Delta (fairly light). Yet all Egyptians have been shown to be genetically close despite skin color differences.
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica Why? Because unlike Americans Egyptians don’t hold the delusion that how much melanin is in your skin actually turns you into a whole other race. Yes we have mixed with Semitics over centuries sure - but we’ve actually mixed with Nubians and Ethiopians MORE over the centuries.
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica and the realest kicker of all of this is that they were buried in ASWAN. Take a look at an Aswan person. Even TODAY they have slightly darker skin - mainly from intermarriage with Nubia - however they are also clearly Egyptians and are still genetically closest to modern Egyptian
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica Not only that but if your going to claim that immigrants affected DNA in MIDDLE Egypt than doesn’t that disprove your own claim as you literally cited the Governor of the BORDER of ancient Egypt with Nubia as evidence of being black?
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica on the other hand - have 0 DNA from any of Shemai’s family, only cranial studies which at best are faulty (As Cranial studies claim MODERN Egyptians should are closer to Nubians anyway - either way the entire of Wast Africa is Caucasoid in skull shape.
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica Also the last statement is objectively false - neither were governors of Upper Egypt: https://t.co/hjF3rERCm9 they WERE governors of Elphantine, the southern most province of Ancient Egypt. Unlike the DNA we have from from smack dab in the middle of Egypt (Abusir) we
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica 1) Shemai and his family were found buried in Elphantine - the Southern most place in Ancient Egypt and the border between Egypt and Nubia. Using him as evidence all Egyptians are black is like taking a Germanic from Northern Italy and then claiming all Italians are Germanic.
@ChariVin1 @ghassen_ouerghi @AAMAfrica Errrrrr you do realize that Abusir is in Upper Egypt (South Egypt) lol. Lmao the area it specifically is in the 19th nome of Upper Egypt lmao. If anything it should be darker than the average Egyptian lol.
@AmeyNo @TheBigJSpeaks @OrthodoxChrist2@MoraIThug@PMBreakingNews Nope, they “only” genocided a million Armenians and stole half of their land confining modern Armenia to a fraction of its former size with its growth stunted from population loss at the hands of the Ottomans. Even then I wouldn’t condone burning down a religious building…
