HR: Hi, just calling to let you know we’ll be ending your employment effective today instead of next week.
Employee: Wait… today?
HR: Yes. It’s now common practice for our business to release employees before their notice period is complete.
Employee: So the two weeks notice I gave doesn’t actually matter?
HR: We appreciate the professionalism. This is simply company policy.
Employee: Interesting.
HR: Your system access will be disabled shortly. You can hand your laptop to security before leaving.
Employee: I was counting on that final week of pay.
HR: I understand.
Employee: You know what’s funny?
HR: What do you mean?

I've intentionally been avoiding hugs lately.
The best I do is side hugs because if I fall into anybody's arms right now, I'll use 10mins first to cry😭
Your next relationship will be with a great person.
They’ll love you right, like you’ve never been loved.
They’ll make you kneel before God and be grateful for the failed relationships.
They’ll be a reason you’ll apologize to God for the times you were ungrateful and thought He had forgotten you or didn’t want the best for you.
It’ll be everything you’ve prayed for.
No standard dropped or lowered.
You’d be ready too for that kind of love, a better and more matured you.
