Having a degree in a useless field doesn't seem all that smart to me, but what would I know. I'm just a college dropout who owns apartments, so I only have a job because I want to work, not because I have to so I can pay off my student debt. Oh wait, I never had any of that either, because I had the Montgomery G.I. bill to pay for the college I dropped out of while I was going.
As for the hard times, that started almost 20 years ago, at least, with the housing market crash, which was caused by policies written into law by administrations as far back as Carter.
