Amazing video sent to us via Jack Hennessy who was in Houston last night to see Cape Verde make history and reach the World Cup Round of 32.
Jack had a tricolour with him and got it to Pico after the game. Here's what he said happened;
"I live and work in Houston. Sat front row with a tricolor. We made friends with one of the photographers there and asked him to throw our flag to Pico"
Fair play to Pico for copping the flag was the wrong way around as well😅
As Pico himself said, he's playong for two countries at this World Cup.
Never worked harder on an article in my life, including rigorous vetting by two top media attorneys and an ace fact-checker. Here’s the real story about the real Phil:
By all means moan that Chelsea and City spent without restrictions, bankrolled by their owners before ffp arrived. But bemoaning Spurs spending money after being frugal, building a stadium and maximising commercial revenue seems off the mark. We need to do something similar #avfc
Cameron Dummigan with one of the greatest volleys you'll ever see!🤩
Unfortunately for Derry, Gbemi Arubi put Dundalk back in front less than two minutes later.
@ready1878 Not a good look for you this. The guy raises thousands of pounds for charity every year doing this event. The only attention seeker here is you. Absolute drip.
Tottenham staying up, their spirits up, but this has to be a wake-up call. Micky van de Ven immense last few minutes, intercepting then clearing. Spurs fans superb, willing their players towards safety. Plenty right about Spurs: support, stadium, training ground and they now have a heavyweight head coach in Roberto De Zerbi who can organise and motivate, who has the respect of players and supporters.
But Spurs need an in-depth review this summer into the many issues and ensure they never get into such a predicament again. Have to improve recruitment, get in more leaders, sell Romero and appoint a more committed captain. Get in a more reliable finisher, communicate better with fans, examine the chronic injury list. But they’ve survived and can celebrate. And reflect. #TOTEVE
Tottenham stay up and surely the message now has to be ‘never again’. Fans deserved a big celebration for what they’ve been put through this season. #thfc
Literally close to tears at full-time, this ownership is putting us through utter hell.
Credit to Roberto De Zerbi for dragging the depleted squad over the line.
This can’t be celebrated, not for a great club like ours.
