Intrusive, scheming spyware grifter who studied social theory under verbose bore Jurgen Habermas tells everyone else to forget about that sort of thing and drill for oil in Texas. Leave the thinking to me and my weird pals, we'll run things from now on!
hilarious that we went from “never give out any real information about yourself on the internet” to “a handful of companies we know for a fact to be truly evil are going to require your govt name, DOB, and address for you to go online and it’s impossible to live an offline life”
protesting liberal student groups at my university didn’t want to openly work with DSA cause they were scared of being called communist and didn’t like “anti cop rhetoric” so they coordinated a with the police, showed up at the assigned route, immediately got kettled and arrested
The part they love to leave out is how at every turn there are billions of dollars of private interests supporting the dem establishment to specifically make sure that they don’t run a candidate that will be actually progressive.
Don’t play like you don’t know the game is rigged
the outrage over this shows how void of ideology our politics has become. people can’t distinguish between an end goal of an ideal society, and a short-term policy. you can’t be in politics and talk about your ideal world, you can only talk about pensions, taxes and immigration.
I really wish more Americans were aware that the USPS is the only service - the ONLY one - that can reach every home in the country. All other services rely on them for "last mile" deliveries that these other (more expensive!) services refuse (or can't) deliver to!
"Jesus, Paul, look at this receipt—ten dollars for a single potato. This new Value-Mart AI surge pricing is killing me, man. Killing me."
“That’s nothing, Bill. Wait ’til the next update: the store will be able to see exactly how much money you have in your bank.”
“You’re kidding.”
“And your 401k.”
“@#$% me sideways.”
“That’s why I use URCHN to do my groceries.”
“Really? What’s URCHN?”
“URCHN is the latest in affordable concierge shopping.”
“Oh, you mean like Uber or Instacart. What makes them different?”
“Orphans.”
“𝑂𝑟𝑝ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑠?”
“That’s right, Bill. And not just any orphans. Dirty, starving orphans who live under overpasses.”
“Uuuh.”
“As you know, the cameras in the grocery aisle scan your face and adjust the price based on race, socioeconomic status, and dietary restrictions. But you know who always gets the best prices, no matter what?”
“…orphans?”
“Yep.”
“I don’t know, Paul, that seems a little-”
“Of course, the AI still discriminates based on race, which is why they send a multi-racial team of no less than four dirty orphans to buy your groceries.”
"Um."
“The Latino child buys your rice, and the Asian child buys your tortillas.”
“Yeah, no, I get it.”
“And the black child-”
“Sorry, uh, these are children, right? Small children?”
“Of course. Teens would raise the price.”
“How do they, uh, reach the items on the top shelves?”
“They stand on each other’s emaciated little shoulders.”
"Jesus."
"Yeah, the Hispanic orphan tends to be on the bottom."
"What?"
"Sturdy stock."
“…and how much do you save?”
“My last potato was 34 cents.”
“#$&@ it, I’m in.”

Reminder that the only time Mastercard has flinched is when outrage was directed at them. Attacking platforms like SubscribeStar for Visa/Mastercard's extralegal censorship is exactly the deflection they want.
GenZ loves Minecraft cuz it's now a power fantasy to imagine being able to make your own house in an unclaimed plot of land and just house yourself without a leech asking for your 80 hoursworth of wage as rent
AI companies are posting stealth ads encouraging students not to major in the humanities. More proof, if you need it, that anti-humanities propaganda is being pushed by the tech world in the hopes of creating a world where most people can neither read nor think.
