Thank you to everyone who’s given us constructive criticism, and thank you for all your support. I’m sorry to anyone I may have offended in my responses and I hope that you all may continue to be kind and respectful to each other in this community.
Firstly, I’d like to apologize for a big misunderstanding I’d had. I believed that the bad options that you all were talking about were the ones inside the About your ___ questions, not the actual question itself. I did not know that asking that question would be ableist in of +
That is why in an upcoming update to the demo we will be rewriting those choices and addressing these crucial points of these characters in a more meaningful and respectful manner later down the line, after you’ve gotten to know them better. +
@kertuffel Yes, it will be! Vine's design will be changed to their new design. For Subspace, we were following the design in the game/render, so that may have been the reason behind the confusion. Do we need to extend Sub's rot further?
3. The pronouns suck/don't work!
Also unfortunately yeah! Hopefully in the future we can work the dialogue to avoid these issues, but it's inevitable because of some sentences. At most all we can do is try to avoid those types of sentences without it sounding clunky.
@jestedd No, you can say other rude things about characters that are unrelated to their disabilities! You can dismiss Vinestaff's interests, insult Scythe's style, hate on Sub's robots, etc.! I hope that clears things up.
@mo6ishh I think there’s been a misunderstanding! The player character does not know who they choose to end up dating, that’s all on you. Also, there are several other bad options in their fates that don’t relate to their disabilities! (ex. being dismissive of vine’s interests)
