@New_Tape_City There’s a remarkably acceptable component of European soccer culture where losing teams will frequently lament that they were the “better team” but for quirky random reasons “didn’t get the result we expected.” That’s what I see from Wemby.
@lindacohn I mean, if a non playoff Rangers team traded Howden for Laba 3 months ago, that would have been seen as a good move — and might still be a good move.
@_leeescobedo Hart closing out on Champaignie was so big. Champaignie was killing us when Hart was on the bench with foul trouble and he killed us a few months ago in SA’s win vs NY.
@NoahRiffe Getting there via public transit is hard enough, but leaving via public transit is many times worse. If you don’t leave early, might as well postgame in the parking lot for an hour before heading out.
@goatcollect Oh for sure. My kids are all under 12 and have now all seen terrible teams, flawed but kinda fun teams, and now a team that has made it to the Finals. Their excitement has only made this better. A win would be amazing.
@TheWARmonger_@BaseballWRLD_ I guess I’d want to understand Brown’s usage better. It seemed somewhat murky to me (though there is definitely evidence that he juiced). My hope is that Andy Pettitte’s relative transparency about his usage will make it possible for him to get in.
@_leeescobedo Kind of remarkable some of these teams won as many games as they did. That era had a lot of crummy teams/limited talent, particularly in the East.
@_BillyHoyleofNJ And your kids’ friends are already telling them how the Knicks are going to lose to Spurs or OKC (for those of us who don’t live in NY anymore)!
