@ge1971@SkySportsNews Comes out of the hearing later and describes the whole thing as dystopian, yeah Steve failing to do some paperwork and getting moved down a European competition is up there with those great dystopian nightmares you read about
Players and managers shown @premierleague six-point VAR improvement plan....
1: Maintain high threshold for intervention. Aim for minimum interference, maximum benefit. ‘Referee’s Call’ (like Umpire’s Call in cricket) will stand unless, in the opinion of the VAR, based upon the evidence readily available, that call is a ‘clear and obvious error’.
2: Reduce delays. Semi-Automated Offside Technology anticipated to reduce offside check delays by 31 seconds.
3: Improve fan experience. Referees to announce VAR decisions in-stadia (pilot scheme). Replays & messaging to be shown on big screens with clips or screenshot of incident. PL to keep lobbying IFAB to extend flexibility to broadcast live video/audio.
4: Improve VAR training and consistency. Emphasis on speed of process while preserving accuracy. Recruit and develop pool of specialist VARs. Some recruits ready for this season.
5: Improve transparency and communication further. New @PLMatchCentre to help understanding of decisions. Facts only. Not opinion.
6: Develop ongoing education campaign to improve club, fan, media understanding of VAR purpose and processes. 📺👍
Been watching a lot of Chelsea this week for a thing but watching back their last three games made me think about something I don't think we talk about enough: structural serendipity.
@MichaelHallam6 to leave the pitch and stopping the clock when a goal goes in to until the game starts again makes sense and highlights how much to the game is lost to those factors is not a bad thing imo
@MichaelHallam6 Personally lost count the number of times an away team waste time as soon as they get a lead and they just always get away with it, could argue it’s part of the game but moving from an arbitrary amount of 30 seconds per sub to the actual amount of time it takes for a player 1/2
A lot of people wrote #NFFC off, thought they were nailed on to go down.
Maybe they under-estimated Steve Cooper’s ability to create something special - and the loudest crowd I’ve ever heard at the City Ground.
Beautiful afternoon down by the River Trent 🌳👌🏻
I’m not a #nffc fan but if you are and you stumble across this, have a read. My boys are Villa but growing up in Bridgford they like Forest. So they bought a shirt and we went to the training ground yesterday to try and get it signed. We’ve done the same at Villa which
