The weekends are usually marked by celebration, entertainment and relaxation. From wedding ceremonies to birthday parties and even casual hangouts, the joys of the weekends are always anticipated.

Whether it's the takeout meal from the restaurant, the party jollof at the wedding, parfait or beverages, plastics find good use in the packaging of these items. 
Unfortunately, most of these packaging materials come in the form of single-use plastics.

Even more appalling is the fact that plastics in landfills and water bodies are directly associated with decreased food production and a consequent increase in the price of food which has continued to make events and ceremonies more expensive.
