@Evan_P_Grant I remember watching him in his debut game! Has been a guest in the Braves booth on some alumni weekends. I enjoy all of your reporting Evan. Grew up in Atlanta but been in Dallas since 1988. Watch almost every Braves and Rangers game. Keep up the good work!
'Pistol Pete' Maravich sharing his testimony of faith in Jesus Christ in 1987 less than one year before his death at the age of 40:
"I want all of you to know this tonight about Peter Maravich. You may never have heard of me. It makes no difference. I'm just one person on this earth saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. I want you to know this, that the change that came into my life was Jesus Christ.
It was not winning. I won all my life. I won every trophy, award, everything you can think of, but every time I won something, I wanted something more. I had to win again. It wasn't money, because money'll buy you everything but happiness. It'll pay your fare at every place but Heaven. Material things—I've driven everything some of you strive for from Rolls Royces to BMWs to Mercedes to Porsches. It wasn't religion because in the name of religion, Jesus Christ was placed upon that cross.
And the purest thing about Christianity is the fact that it's your choice. You can't work. You can't earn. I knew that, and I understood it now.
I want you to know this. The last thing I'd like to say is this, next week I'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I'll get that big ring. In fact, it's a bigger ring than I would have got for the championship, but I'll tell you something about all the awards. They all pale to the glory of Christ and what He's done in my life. It's amazing what He has done in my life.
I wouldn't trade my position in Christ for a thousand NBA championships or a thousand Hall of Fame rings or for a hundred billion dollars. There's nothing like the joy of Jesus Christ in your life."
Iran's regime hanged the dead body of this woman for the crowd to cheer and praise Allah. She died of a heart attack, but "the show had to go on."
Please read to the end! Don't look away!
The woman in this picture was forcibly sold by her Muslim father into marriage with an abusive husband. Her name is Zahra Esmaili. She was sentenced to death after her Muslim husband was found dead. Her husband was a senior member of the Ayatollahs' ministry of intelligence. After arrest, she was held in one of Iran's notorious prisons, where she was tortured mentally and physically until she gave a forced confession. She received the death penalty and was to be hanged before the crowd. After seeing 16 people hanged, she had a heart attack and died. But they still hanged her dead body for the crowd to cheer.
The Western media never reported this case, as with most stories about human rights violations by Islamic terrorist regimes in the Muslim world. Events inconsistent with the left's narrative that "Islam is a religion of peace" are ignored.
Please retweet if you care about women's rights!
Women in Iran are treated worse than animals. They have no freedom or human rights.
Please don’t stop talking about the atrocities Islamic regime commits in Iran.
Heartbreaking:
Wiam, just 13, forced into marriage with Mohammed, 29. Tears streaming, she reveals the daily nightmare:
She must wait ready for him every evening.
No "no" allowed—to ANY demand.
Refuse? She gets beaten.
The rest... too horrific to type 💔
Some Olympians wanted to be political. Jack Hughes put it all on the line, lost some teeth, scored the winning goal and praised his teammates and said how proud he was to play for our country. That's American Pride! Others should take lessons from Jack.
