Well been off twitter for a while (toxicity etc), but have to tweet the latest paper:
Phys. Rev. D 110, 025009 (2024) - Quantum vacuum of spacetime with a fundamental length https://t.co/rQfvr5Tind
@Jameypaint@Nigel_Farage Just come back from Paris, right that’s way more experience than actually living there… sad you’re beyond hope. I actually understand your anger but it’s not the people in the boats who knackered GB, it’s the governments with power
@jbhearn Well I admire your faith in markets, I do t share it when it comes to big questions like this. There is no such thing as enlightened self interest, hence why we are where we are, just seeking growth
@Jameypaint@Nigel_Farage Total bullshit, basic economics. GDP is proportional to population, and guess what we are short of labor. The cost to taxpayer lie is just a distraction the right wing put around to deflect from how they have let down the working public
@jbhearn We know fossil fuel use causes greenhouse, no need for a cost benefit analysis. So no it’s not a preference just a rational choice as we can at least deal with Lithium waste.
@jbhearn Personally I think both are a problem. Batteries are solving the right problem (fossil fuel use) but I agree Lithium is highly toxic and damages the environment. I would chose the battery over the petrol can though
