Obviously that should have been 500-1 shot. Disappointing effort but still think he’ll end up a nice horse. Lovely performance by winner, who is crying out for 12 furlongs.
Was really taken with Shaihaan up close at the Curragh. Doesn’t mean he’ll beat Pierre Bonnard today, but I’d be shocked if he doesn’t develop into at least a very smart performer. I’ve seen worse 50-1 shots for the Derby that’s for sure.
Timeform reaction to the 2000 Guineas, and why we might be hearing a lot more about a horse called Saber Strike in the coming weeks. https://t.co/qYZwHM8U2i
I’ve had a soft spot for Bob Olinger ever since his inclusion in the Irish section of @Timeform 50 Horses to Follow publication gave me the chance write about the 1878 Lincoln County War in an official, if admittedly tenuous, capacity. Sláinte, Bob. You were a real one.
Grateful for the messages & support I’ve had after another successful @SportingLifeFC National League preview!
No fancy prices this year but the 8pt NAP on York (never in doubt 🤪) means we end +13.05 in 25/26, now just shy of 75pts profit in the column over the last 3 seasons🕺
Tried my first Beamish tonight. Why am I not seeing this in every pub from North to South. There’s no comparison Guiness. @wjnash13 is the beer oracle. He’s also quite good at the horses.
@DizzyJB Haha. She did that. Faithfuls need other faithfuls to be banished or murdered in order to reach the end. I think the team aspect is overplayed. The main objective is to win the prize money, surely? Getting to the final far more important than outing a traitor or 2 early on.
@DizzyJB I do agree that via the nature of the game, the faithful’s that reach the end-game are largely there because they’ve posed very little threat to the traitors, but It can also be argued that this is also a viable strategy/tactic to ensure one actually reaches the final 4.
