A decade on the run: What I learned from running a marathon in every U.S. state (and D.C., too) https://t.co/qrtkFc7fLL In June, I completed my quest to run a 26.2 mile road race in every state. I wrote about it for @FortuneMagazine There were lots of ups, downs & lessons. 1/
@moorehn Well I take my morningpersonness to an extreme. I’m out in summer at 5:30am to get to Central Park before the tourists or even many dog owners.
@moorehn 100%. More locally, I think the explosion of joy (I’m not a basketball but the revelry has made me happy by osmosis) is partly because of all the 💩NYC has gone through in recent years and all the idiotic prognostications that our city is dead when in fact it is as lively as ever
@moorehn Indeed! I am currently reading a fantastic new biography of Vermeer (A Life Lost and Found) and the poor man died virtually an unknown in contrast to Hockney! (Also, my mind is spending a lot of time in 17th century Netherlands right now, escapism I very much need.)
"I think this generation, we see a great confidence and bravery and looking at different things."
In the latest episode of Behind the Business, Fortune’s @philwahba gets an inside look at the Christie’s May 20/21 auction to explore how the company is leaning into its multi-million dollar art auctions while attracting younger, next generation bidders. https://t.co/4F5lUlQ7cF
Un parcours incroyable avec les partisans les plus passionnés qui soient. Merci d’avoir été derrière nous tout au long de l’année 🫶

Saturday's Weather Rating: 7/10
Partly sunny for most of the day, with high temperatures in the upper 60s. It's *very* windy out there this afternoon, and the breeze continues into the early evening. The vibes are fine, but actually a bit chilly at times!
Breaking News from @TheAthletic: Claude Lemieux, a four-time Stanley Cup champion and one of the fiercest playoff performers in NHL history, has died. He was 60. https://t.co/KjUVODXtr0
@moorehn The most common baseball cap in NYC after Yankees, Mets (and lately, NYK of course) seems to be US Open hats by Ralph Lauren, which is also searingly hot right now, so I'm not totally surprised. Influencers to blame?
Eastern Conference Final action shifts to Montreal on Monday where the @CanadiensMTL and @Canes clash for a pivotal 2-1 series lead in Game 3 after splitting the first two contests. #StanleyCup
