25 years! A quarter of a century since 9/11/01 and the emotional memory of that horrifying shock is still there. It lingers in the American soul largely undimmed. And well it should. We must never forget murder is at the very heart of radical Islam.
3,000 people were slaughtered in the name of the religion of peace on September 11, 2001. We must not allow the nation's academic community to rewrite what really happened on that day. We must not allow the Democrats or the Islamists or the Communists to rewrite what happened. It was the day that Islamists waged jihad on our nation, on our soil, chanting Allahu Akbar as they flew the jetliners into the buildings. Never forget.
25 years ago our nation was attacked by Islamic extremists. We saw the difference between good and evil, love and hatred, courage and fear. I had hoped we would never forget the lessons of that day, but we have. We must remember and never forget.
