After an opening night loss to Nanticoke, Pittston (1-1) bounced back against Holy Cross winning 47-43. The Patriots will be looking to avenge their 65-73 loss to North Pocono in last year’s district playoffs. Jack Locker led all scorers with 24 points in the game.

North Pocono (2-0) look to keep their unblemished record in tact after defeating Mid Valley, 56-40, on Monday night. The Trojans are led by Ryan Ruddy with 33 points and Chris Walsh with seven triples on the season.

LLHoops is saddened to hear about the passing of Jerry Burke, whose local coaching career spanned 40 years. His 1973 Bishop Hannan squad held off a big rally to defeat Elk County Christian in the PCIAA Class B state championship, 84-73, at the Pitt Fieldhouse. #Mentor
