We can confirm that a suspect has been taken into custody for the murder of one of our police officers.
We are told that the arrest was made using our fallen officers handcuffs.
UPDATE: The officer is in surgery and still listed in critical condition. The officer sustained two gunshot wounds to the abdomen, right below his vest.

Police engaged in a shootout with a suspect, 1 P/O was struck by gunfire in the chest but drove himself to the hospital and appears to be awake and talking.

Temporary vehicle restrictions in place due to Eagles celebratory activity between 8th to 20th sts and Race to Lombard sts. Rolling road closures in effect in other locations in the city. Use caution traveling.
This chart along with 3 others were finally posted this morning. Keep in mind that these numbers are being compared to 2022, which already had an incredibly high number of incidents. Certain incidents like rapes and theft from a person have sky rocketed early in 2023.
