During the war though the Irish became disillusioned with the British regard to their home rule and a open revolution ultimately began, and it was through this war that they achieved independence. This came to mind as Gahndi is quoted as having drawn from this era.

Regarding today’s reading a more appropriate comparison may be to the Irish revolution. As Britain’s first colony they were also the first modern revolt. they had used peaceful means to achieve home rule before WW1 but it was shelved as the war began 1/? #flyphi11am
