@AmandaMurdie Scientific society memberships = large lists of experts in their fields at all career stages.
How do specialty journals aligned with scientific societies perform in getting peer reviewers?
@AcademicChatter Ask 'why?'!
Also, talk to the postdoc. I find it hard to believe there is a postdoc who would write a PhD thesis for someone else........
@pllv2009 @OpenAcademics Conference travel award for PhD students. The conference allowed midday break for skiing every day. Skiing in the Canadian Rockies with lab group (having never skied before) was so much fun. Won a prize for my poster too.
Great conference!
*Skiing not included in travel award.
And every day in between too! Great people, great ideas, great presentations, lots of application, I would recommend this conference to anyone. Many thanks to our Zürich hosts! #EBRS2022@EbrsOfficial
36 hours in Mayo General Hospital A&E, got to see the staff in action throughout night and dayshift, they are brilliant !!
The organisation, hard work, and great attitudes despite a few curveballs thrown at them across the 36 hours was top.

We know much of the #physiology/biochem/genetics involved in temporal organisation of biology. It is applied successfully in therapies & elite performance. We know acute strain affects health. Chronic strain over years may increase disease risk.
#Permanent#DST = mistake.
@sifi_lina@AcademicChatter Maybe reach out to labs of interest/nearby. Maybe you can work-shadow and get a better answer. Compare what you (could) learn to MSc content. Look into studentships. Some offered by societies, e.g., https://t.co/CneyLfWH46. This could help your decision and be good for CV.
If you're gonna listen to any speech about #Ukraine 🇺🇦, let it be this one.
The Kenya ambassador to the UNSC perfectly explains how people across Africa understand Ukraine, and what the Kremlin's acts of aggression mean in our post-colonial world.
Q for #ChronoTwitter:
There are conclusions on #JetLag (East/West travel) and #DST (change in relative #sun#time, eg #dawn#dusk).
What about crossing #latitude and dawn differences? Do humans or migrating birds have #circadian problems with such jumps in time of dawn?
