@Cooper19874@KentMurphy New strategy - Next time a guy hits a a ball off the wall against my pitcher, my guys run on the field. Dead ball, send him back to first.
@ikepower_ @CollinRugg Fact Check. That photo shows him touching the handle (which is defined in the rules as the part that screws into the granite). Players are allowed to retouch the plastic, but not the granite. If you touch the granite, the stone is removed. https://t.co/pi5Kxr7HDm
@CBCOlympics IF she touched the top of the rock on the plastic, then please realize this is defined as part of the handle. The new clarification says players canโt touch the granite.
Why send us back to the stone age and use observers instead of modern video review that can be scrutinized?
@HidekiNishida2@tessa_2018@rockchannelcurl Fine, touching the granite is a violation, but retouching the handle is ok. The official claimed Homan touched the top of the rock - thats the plastic part - and it is defined in the rules as THE HANDLE.
@Devin_Heroux If she touched the plastic, that is PART OF THE HANDLE as defined in the rules. To have a stone removed, the Olympic rule says the player must have touched the granite.
@CBCOlympics Ok it does look like the index finger might have grazed the red plastic. To be clear however, that is part of the handle. Itโs defined in the rules. The granite is one part of the stone and the plastic removable handle is the other. No violation.
