Donald J. Trump International Airport is now a reality.

The South Florida airport formerly known as Palm Beach International for nearly 50 years has officially been renamed, cementing President Trump's longstanding ties to the area.

The change also makes him the first sitting U.S. president to have an airport named in his honor while still in office, as @Danamariemctv explains.

And, fittingly, the first arrival at the newly renamed airport was a Trump, with the president's son Eric Trump marking the occasion by flying in on the family's "Trump Force One" plane.
