@charlottewelker@anneapplebaum@NewYorker Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens are definitely MAGA. They helped build the MAGA movement and made it popular. Just because they no longer support Trump doesn't mean they stopped being MAGA. They're just an alternative version of MAGA.
@Kasparov63 Regardless of Putin's actual ideology, his nationalist conservative "Christian" persona is how he wants to be perceived by the West. He portrays Russia as a nation of fighting against progressive policies, feminism, and LGBTQ+ policies.
@Kasparov63 For many on the Right (Nick Fuentes, Hillsdale College, etc.), I think their support for Russia is not only because of money, but also because of Putin's reactionary conservatism and his "Christian" nationalism. Putin has marketed himself as a defender of "conservative" values.
@MisicuS@joni_askola I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what your point is. Trump, Vance, and Weidel are part of the far-right now, even if they don't necessarily have traditonal far-right views. They're not "fake right". They're just a different kind of far-right.
