⚡📢 #AVERE regrets today's vote results in Plenary on the #HDV CO2 standards, which features the inclusion of carbon neutral fuels. The potential inclusion of these fuels could:

👉 Create uncertainty over investments, benefitting non-EU manufacturers that have already invested to electrify their fleets
👉 Count the most unsustainable biofuels as climate neutral
👉 Further delay the transition to having zero-emission road transport in Europe

We are therefore calling on the EU institutions to reach a preliminary agreement that excludes carbon-neutral fuels and puts Europe on track to become a leader in zero-emission vehicles technologies.
