Exactly one year ago the @apaphysio and International Physio community gathered in #Adelaide for @APAConference - an amazing celebration of our profession. Despite COVID-19 our profession stays united, patient centred and innovative across the globe @Anja_thinks
We need a robust Allied Health workforce strategy to ensure that students, supervisors and practices are able to ensure the next generation of professionals start and stay in the profession they are trained in. The sustainability of all AH professions is essential! @apaphysio
We have alternate models of care that can prevent these waiting lists if funding enabled them. Like non operative pathways for #OA is a start and can improve outcomes. That is true health reform! @apaphysio@DrChrisBarton
It’s great engagement with another like minded #physio organization of @APTAtweets that has been built over many years. It was my pleasure to discuss our strategy and output for the consumer in Australia. @apaphysio
Great morning learning from @president_apa Scott Willis on @apaphysio efforts to improve the Health of all Australians. The applications in US are great. Leadership is contagious- thx to Scott, @PhillCalvert, @Mdripps for building this partnership
While blowing out the candles today my wish is that the next 40 years of Medicare is sustainable, consumer focussed, easier to navigate, outcome focussed and we use all practitioners skills to the fullest. 🎂 @apaphysio#physio
It was great to sit down with @CroakeyNews! I feel that if we want true health reform, we need to look at different ways to do things better. One way is using everyone’s full scope of practice and wrapping services around the consumer that drives positive outcomes. @apaphysio
The entire National Office team and the ACSEP Board wish you a wonderful and safe festive season and a very Happy New Year!
National Office will re-open on January 2.
The APA congratulates @Mick_Reynolds for winning the IAHA Local Champion Award at yesterday's ceremony. Mick was previously our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Committee Chair and continues to serve on our RAP Governance committee. Well done, Mick! @IAHA_National
"He did not face a ball, nor score a run, but Australia's physiotherapist could lay claim to being the third most important person in the batting effort that sealed one of the greatest comeback wins in cricket history." Well done, @NJones_21 👏👏👏
1 day to go ⏰...
We see you arriving in Wellington for #ACSEPxSMNZ23, and we can't wait to get started on this adventure together for three days of connecting the global SEM community.
Let's go! 🏁

Two simple solutions put forward by @apaphysio to streamline the patient journey in primary care can be achieved now, by allowing physios to directly refer patients to orthopaedic surgeons within their scope of practice and expand medical imaging rights to physios.
We are excited to introduce Professor Carolyn Emery as a #ACSEPxSMNZ keynote speaker!
Prof Emery's research centres around injury prevention, with her work substantially improving injury & concussion prevention for youth sports worldwide.
