Developer on the Azure Container Apps team at Microsoft. Worked on VS & VS Code, Dapr, and Durable Task Scheduler. Tinkers with electronic nautical charts.
@ishiishi_kenken Yes, Durable Task Scheduler can be used in any compute, not just Azure Functions, using the Durable Task SDK (specifically, the Microsoft.DurableTask.Worker.AzureManaged package).
@okazuki Yes, durable agents are represented as entities and are therefore subject to their DTS limits. Happy to hear feedback on how that works (or not) for your scenarios.
@yuma_prog@okazuki There are inconsistencies between .NET and Python durable agent framework implementations in how they invoke agents and store history which can trip up the DTS Dashboard. We're working to iron those out as well as improve support for Python-based agents in the Dashboard.
Today we're releasing a new extension to Microsoft Agent Framework that makes agentic apps and tools even more bulletproof by powering together with Durable Functions. Check it out here:

📢 Today we launched the durable task extension for Microsoft Agent Framework! With this extension, you can host and orchestrate agents natively in Azure Durable Functions.
Both .NET and Python are supported.
OpenAI Agent SDK Integration with Azure Durable Functions
Take your agents and make them durable by running on top of Azure Durable Functions, and observable with Durable Task Scheduler.

Just yesterday we announced the durable workflow capabilities in Azure Container Apps with the Durable task scheduler (preview). This new feature brings powerful workflow capabilities to Azure Container Apps, enabling developers to build and manage complex, durable workflows as CODE with ease. Durable task schedule is also a native backend to Durable Functions (Azure Functions), and can be used in many other hosts like AKS and K8s using the SDKs.

@timheuer Had to do the same after just a couple of weeks. Ironically, I had no issues with it myself but it seemed to constantly interfere with the kids' or significant other's activities, so it had to go or else risk a mutiny.
📢 We're excited to announce the release of Dapr v1.13 🎉
We thank all 110 (!) community contributors who dedicated their time and energy to this release! 🙏
A big shout-out goes to @JoshVanL, the release lead of v1.13.
