Little-known Fact: The Moon doesn't orbit Earth’s center. Earth & Moon orbit a common center of mass, which is a moving spot about 1,000 miles beneath Earth’s surface along a line connecting our centers.
So Earth actually jiggles while orbiting the Sun.
What a day! @erikgrifff and I climbed most of Astroman. I onsighted the boulder problem 5.11c (technical crux of the route) and just fell once leading into the Harding slot. Erik led the Enduro corner and I slipped once following. I can’t wait to come back and send it proper!
Way of the World 5.11c, the biggest roof in Joshua Tree! I had to hang a few times, but it was still really fun to figure out the beta. I’ll give it another shot next time!
I sent White Rastafarian V2 R, a classic Joshua Tree boulder problem. John Long called the first ascent of this route the birth of highball boulder problems in Joshua Tree, cool but an absolutely terrifying mantle at the end! Thanks to everyone for the spot!
