Then he continued, then realised what he had done - then promptly ran away without offering to help the Official on the boat. If you know how SOLAS and Maritime law works - you’d understand.

@MarkHeath45 If you look at his own video - the one he took while the French Coastguard officer was climbing ON TO the boat - then kept filming WHILE he slashed the boat - with the French Official STILL ONBOARD ! He recorded himself doing it. Let’s see how THAT holds up in court !!
