Jalen Carter's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, isn't surprised by Jeffery Simmons’ three-year, $105.8 million contract extension.
Howie isn't surprised either
They have been expecting a three-year extension valued at $115–$135 million.

Eagles WR Dontayvion Wicks
His release skills have been noticeable since his time at UVA. He has the lean, the hesitation, and the patience when needed that you don't often see in a bigger-bodied receiver. When he gets the defender off balance with the moves above, he plants, gets outside, and goes by them. He doesn’t just run routes; he runs the defender.
Wicks has an uncanny ability to create space and separation. He has decent speed, but it is his attention to detail and tempo that give him the advantage. That is not to say he doesnt press vertically; he can, but throughout his college career, his ability to win early was a space maker.
Dontayvion is also a blocker. He is physical, engaged, and able to sustain and repeat. Those skills will matter in the Mannion scheme. He will not be asked to win only routes, but to be a part of the run game and extend the perimeter. He has shown his ability to do this; that is not a projection; this is the game he already has. The dirty work matters.
All of those skills matter. The film and history suggest above-average production is right on the cusp of breaking out. Securing the ball will determine how much upside the Eagles can utilize.
Jalen Carter has the talent to be a generational talent, yes.
He's that good.
I would 🔒him up long-term.
The Eagles know it too.
Wanting to challenge him and not believing in him are two very different things.
Jalen Hurts and Jalen Carter should have 10+ seasons together.
I would hate (and be very surprised) to see the Eagles include Jalen Carter in a deal for any edge rusher.
The point of adding an elite Edge is to weaponize them and JC together. imo
💥Riq = largest impact
🤫Jon Jones = most underrated
🧩MJ = confidence in iOL depth, much needed
👌Epenesa = better than most realize, if healthy
🔓Dontayvion Wicks = unlocking MOF
Outside of Woolen, who do you think has the biggest impact this season from free agents and trades?
Tariq Woolen, CB: lockdown corner opposite Q
Dontayvion Wicks, WR: elite separation
Hollywood Brown, WR: deep-threat
Arnold Ebiketie, Edge: hopes to be what Azeez didn't
A.J. Epenesa, Edge: reliable rotational depth
Michael Jordan, G: experienced interior depth
Jonathan Jones, CB: Underrated Vet depth
Johnny Mundt, TE: Beast blocking tight end
Elijah Moore, WR: Vet Slot WR
Erik Ezukanma, WR: Offers YAC, dart throw
Shaun Wade, CB: compete for roster
