@dblthink52@GozinyaD@fasc1nate Genius and mental illness often go hand in hand.....look at all of the greats in any genre of the arts and you will see a common trend
Man, they counted you out.
They saw the divorce. The job loss. The addiction. The public sin. & they all started to count you out. With good reason too. The enemy has your back against the wall. If you’re being honest,he has you knocked down… lying in the corner. Beat up and broken.
“This is not how I thought life was going to go” You think to yourself
“Whats my purpose… and is it even worth living for?” On repeat in your mind.
What if I said this is the best position you have ever been in?
You’d call me a liar. And that would be true. You’ve had better days.
Never before have you been this low. Never before have you needed to express this much humility. Never before have you needed this much forgiveness. Never before have you felt this rock bottom.
He’s perspective shift. Rock bottom is the BEST place to build a foundation on. It’s obvious, if you are here, you have NOT built your life on ROCK. Your foundation was weak and the house came crumbling down. What are you gonna do? Spend the rest of your days being the victim and self loathing? Thats an option. One that many take too.
Here’s another… you decided right now, to lay the first brick on a firm foundation. To lay the first brick on ROCK. Yeah, ROCK BOTTOM. From the bottom up… like the best comeback story ever told. You hear about them all the time. You see them in your favorite movies and the best sporting events.
God is not done yet.
I had no plans to write today. I opened substack (now sharing with you here on X) with no idea what I would write. I don’t know who I am writing this for… but it’s on my heart… and it feels urgent.
It must be for you.
Do Hard Things
Lay the first brick. START YOUR COMEBACK STORY.
